Imagine a box: simple glass box with six dark walls. Although the box is made of glass and it should be transparent there's no way to see inside it. There isn't a lid every side is the same. There isn't even a lock. This box wasn't always this way. So let me tell its story.
Once there was a beautiful crystal box. It was so pretty. The lid was engraved with all kinds of beautiful flowers. There was a pretty lock on one of the sides with a key put neatly in it. Through the crystal sides of the box you were able to see a flower. One gorgeous rose was standing on the box's floor. If you begin to wonder why was a rose locked away in a box you'll soon understand.
One day there was a sad little girl. She didn't know what was the mater for her sadness. As the girl was walking in the forest suddenly a crystal box appeared before her. When she saw the box she remembered a story about a legend her mother used to tell her. The legend was about a girl who found the box with the flower of friendship. She didn't know what was the meaning of the words friend or friendship so her mother explained them to her. "A true friend" the mother said "is a person who is always by your side and helps you when ever you need help, but you have to do the same too because friends always help each other, they never keep secrets to each other and they never lie each other." So here it was a box. And it was exactly the same as her mother told her. Could it be real? The key in the lock was so beautiful it just made you turn it. And with one swift movement the girl opened the box. When she saw the rose she felt somehow happy, she wasn't sad anymore and she decided to go home and tell her mother about what happened. On the way home she saw another girl playing by herself then she remembered the rose and the legend. She went to the other girl and told her "Hello! I'm Anna, what's your name?" The girl looked at her for a moment. Anna stood in front of her with her hand stretched out waiting for answer. Her short hair was precisely combed, her white shirt was completely stainless and her eyes had one so innocent and cute look. She was looking naïve. The other girl shook her hand in response and said, "My name is Eil, nice to meet you." "Eil?" Anna said curious "What an interesting name. So Eil do you want to be my friend?" Eil looked questionably. "Me, to be your friend? What does this word mean? " Anna explained to her and waited for an answer again. Eil stood there not quite sure if she did understand the meaning of the word but she agreed. And so the two girls became friends they were together every day playing, talking reading they were always together. And the rose was blooming more than ever. It was looking more gorgeous than ever.
But one day Anna got from her mother a beautiful bracelet as a present for her birthday. She went to show it to Eil. As the girl saw the bracelet something happened. It was so beautiful that it made her willing to have one too. But the bracelet was unique there wasn't any way to be found another bracelet like that one. Eil wasn't looking happy for her friend, in fact she was looking radar sad and even mad. "What's up Eil?" the girl asked "Don't you like it?" "Yeah, I like it
" She said and looked away. What was this feeling? Was it anger? No. Was it envy? Yes maybe it was that. "Hey, Eil? Do you want to make a sleep over party tonight?" Eil thought for a bit "Yes sure. It would be nice." There was a thought forming into Eil's head and it wasn't good at all.
The night they were at Anna's house Eil did something very bad. When they finally went to bed she waited for Anna to go to sleep then secretly opened her jewelry box and took her bracelet. The girl put it into her bag and went off to sleep. She couldn't sleep all night but she knew there wasn't any other way for her to have the bracelet.
At the same time in the forest was happening something strange the rose was becoming weak. Its red color wasn't so red anymore and the box was looking rather yellow than crystal white and transparent.
The next morning Eil wanted to leave early. She didn't want to talk to Anna after she finds out about the bracelet. But as she was gathering her things in the morning Anna found the missing bracelet and immediately asked Eil if she had seen it. "No I haven't" was the simple answer. "Are you sure I remember putting it in the box and only we were in this room." Anna said worried. "Are you saying that I liE?" "No, no I'm not. I'd never think something like that
" And Eil left without saying a word. The two friends never met again. And in the forest the rose was transforming into some creature. It was strange and ugly looking around with its small dark eyes searching for something. The box was slowly turning dark until it became completely black. Suddenly the lid shut itself and the key disappeared with the lock but it was too lade the creature multiplied and now there were thousands little strange creatures going around everywhere. There were only some petals and leafs left from the rose.
The creatures are even now wandering the world and searching for good friendships to ruin. But they say that if you've been lucky and you've managed to find one of the rose's petals your friendship will be like a beautiful flower and it'll be so strong that nothing would be able to break it!
